so how did we
get here?
At 19, I had my first local news internship, at KSAZ-TV in Phoenix, Arizona. I unironically told my mentor there that I wanted to start my reporting career in a 'small market like Chicago.' (I cringe thinking about this, now!)
KELO-TV hired me on full-time as bureau chief covering Rapid City, South Dakota. I was my own photographer, editor, live shot operator, and engineer, covering 19 counties and two time zones. Here, I met two of my best friends- also 'one-woman-bands' who happened to be from Florida...

I completed a second internship in an *actual* small market, at KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They put me on the air and I became a weekend reporter during my final year of college.
In 2010, the aforementioned friends and I all made the move to their home state of Florida, after two of us landed positions at WBBH-TV in beautiful Naples. Here, I started working with a photographer full-time, was promoted to an investigative position, and met a producer named Brandon who I kind of hit it off with...

let's go back in time...
Brandon and I, now a package deal, moved to Orlando together to work at WFTV as a producer and reporter, respectively.
Brandon and I got married in a rainstorm along the west coast of Florida.
I was promoted to investigative reporter and started regularly filling-in on the anchor desk.
I was promoted to weekend anchor, and started regularly filling in on the main shows- morning, midday, and night.
Brandon and I celebrated the birth of our son, Cayman- the absolute light of our lives.
After 12 years and a just-signed contract, I was let go from my longtime news role on a random Wednesday- unprompted.
Unprompted Strategies was born out of a desire to help others show up as their best selves on-camera, across all platforms, from a seasoned pro.
